What does that even mean: website privacy policy strategy – I’ll get to that in a minute, but first let me set the stage.

What is data privacy and why does your business need to be concerned?

The privacy acronym of 2019 was GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), a law that protects data privacy of European Union (EU) citizens. It also affects every American business that does business in the EU. In a nutshell, if your website includes a contact form, a newsletter subscription form, or collects data on visitors via Google Analytics or uses a Facebook remarketing pixel – and your website is accessed by persons from the EU, you need to comply with this law or risk HUGE fines.
